Milestone Session Prep

Milestone Sessions are so fun and so important!
Documenting each little stage of their babyhood into their childhood is important for so many!
For us mamas, so we can cry and yearn for the baby days at a moment’s notice!
For the dads, to watch their children grow and remember they’re still “their little” one, despite the time that’s passed.
For the grandmas & grandpas to see how fast that baby is growing! And to “ooh” and “ahh” just like you knew that would for your perfect child.

I’ve got a helpful little infographic to better prepare you for your babe’s milestone session! I’ll add some notes at the end of this post, too ☺️

Number ONE! Naps are sometimes unpredictable and I absolutely understand that! I mostly added this because of the booking process. If we decide on a time and you can’t quite figure out how to squeeze a nap in before that, let me know! I can do my best to provide flexibility with that! Because grumpy babies make my job way harder and way less fun for both of you too!

Number Two! Snacks, self explanatory!

Number Threeee: Clothing! NO PRESSURE to buy outfits if you don’t have anything you LOVE. I have a “baby” client closet too! I usually end up using 1 or 2 of the clients outfits and 1 or 2 from my client closet! Also, if you’ve got something meaningful that belonged to one of you or another important member of the family and you’d like baby to wear that, the answer is YES! Don’t hesitate! And gifted outfits…..amazing intention but not always well-fitting or “your style”. I’m still down to make it work somehow, for a couple photos at least! 🙃

Good ol’ number four: Relax :) I feel like when you “expect” them to do one thing, they know it and either perform really well or the complete opposite. I hate when mamas are sad that their “always happy” baby developed stranger danger and took a lot longer to warm up. Those little magicians can feel the stress! So let’s just hang out and do the wave and sing baby shark and see what happens!
