Think Good Things Photography was born out of a hope to encourage connection and positivity through a well-loved and highly desired medium, photography. I'm Holly Jaynes, a 33 year old girl mama of 2 cute little heathens in the PNW, Marine wife, happiness junkie, and the peopley-est kind of people person. Chasing connection, finding a spark in all of my relationships, even if it's just a 2 second interaction (looking at you, Safeway cashier), is what I'm here for. I didn't realize it until I got older that it's something I've always done, but now that I've got a good grasp on who I am, using it in the photography world has changed my life. When I realized I had a talent in helping people feel more relaxed and at ease, I knew that I could probably do a pretty great job creating genuine happiness in front of my lens - and that I'd have a fantastic time doing it. And for the record, I was not wrong! Sometimes, my face hurts after sessions from laughing, and they're not even my family members. I get to fill my cup, learning about others and strengthening their relationships and love for one other as well as the added bonus of having the creative outlet I need to feel like my true self. So let me introduce myself, I'm Holly Jaynes of Think Good Things Photography and I get to have my cake and eat it too

Professional Life

Think Good Things was originally my platform for Life Coaching back in 2013. My niche in Life Coaching is "Positivity Coaching" - trying to help others find the silver lining, to always see the positives and to overcome any barriers that might stand in the way of living your happiest life.
When Life Coaching turned out to be a little difficult for people to understand, I decided to throw in another joy in my life, photography. What makes someone happier than seeing pictures of their most important times in life and sharing those pictures with their families? It really felt like an extension of my "brand." It's something I always wanted to do, but never had the time or most importantly, the ambition.
It's such a crazy competitive industry to be in and I was seriously nervous to start. It wasn't until I was introduced to a fantastic concept:

"Community over competition"

that I finally decided it was worth it to start my business and to do something special. To meet people, to create relationships and help create real memories. I learned that even though there are many photographers in our area, there are enough clients for every. single. one. of us.
That got me going and now, there's no stopping me. I'm loving every part of this fantastic career and can't wait to see where it takes me.

Getting real...

I'm Holly Jaynes :) Midwestern girl married to a New York (the state, not the city) guy, raising our adorable girls in the great Pacific North West!

I am a people person through and through. My favorite thing to do is meet people, hear their stories, get to know them on a real level. I learn SO much from every single person I meet and I'm forever grateful for that.

My next big dream is to own my own studio in Silverton, specializing in newborn and children's portraits!

Once my kiddos are old enough to send off to school, I will pursue my RN to hopefully become a Labor & Delivery nurse, and then to become a Midwife!
I am so impressed by women and nature and our resilience. I just can't get enough of the whole process!
